"And we're, well, I have to speak for myself, I think we're becoming clairvoyant," Richard interjected.

"I'm starting to have visions!" Virginia said. "When I lie awake late at night, a part of me begins to breathe in a very light, pleasurable way, and I partake in some way with the part of me that's normally asleep. Except while it's dreaming, I'm there, too, and I'm totally awake!"

"And while I'm awake during the day," Richard said, "an extremely sharp, keenly focused, dark side of my nature accompanies me. It's as if the opposite of what Virginia is saying is happening! While I'm awake, the part of me that normally dreams is partaking of my life during the day, adding its perception, and extremely capable mentations, to my ordinary consciousness."

"I saw David Daniels do something once," Richard said. "Al Nelson was talking about the difficulties he was anticipating lifting a heavy wooden beam in a construction project, and as David talked to Al about the project, I began to have a vision of two pieces of timber leaning into one another and crossed at the top, and imagined using this upside-down V as a framework for lifting the heavy beam. The following week I heard that's exactly how he solved the problem! It's as if there had been a vision in the room, and at least two of us had been partaking of it in some way."

"I'm happy just as long as none of them take my picture," she said.
